Great you've booked your dates and sent your deposit, you are on your way to an awesome experience here at Firesteel Creek Lodge.  Here is what you need to do next

          Upland Bird Hunters before you leave home you should go online and obtain your Small Game Hunting License ($110) from the South Dakota Department of Game Fish and Parks, DO NOT purchase a Preserve License this will not work at Firesteel Creek Lodge. If you follow the link below it will take you to the licensing log on page of the SDGFP. Here you can log on if you have been here before, if not just click New User and follow the onscreen instructions. You will need your Drivers License, Social Security Number and a Credit Card. You will also have to pick two ranges of dates five days each. The first set of dates should start the day you are due to start hunting here at the Lodge. (Example-You arrive Oct. 22nd and hunt Oct. 23, 24, and 25. Your Start Date should be Oct. 23rd) The second set of dates should start December 26th. You will be able to move the second set of dates back if you decide to come a second time earlier, but once the dates pass you can not move them ahead. If you are also going to hunt Prairie Dogs you need to purchase a Predator/Varmint License ($40).

          Prairie Dog Hunters before you leave home you should go online and obtain your Predator/Varmint License ($40). A Small Game License is NOT GOOD to hunt Prairie Dogs in South Dakota. So if you are going to be hunting birds you will also need to obtain a Upland Game License ($110). If you follow the link below it will take you directly to the South Dakota Dept. of Game Fish and Parks website. Here you will be able to Log On if you have been here before, if not simply click New User and fill in the required information. You will need your Drivers License info, your Social Security Number, and a Credit Card. The Predator Varmint License is good for the whole year.
